ARETE!

Arete camp was simply awesome. Compared to youth camp, it was a very simple camp. But yet, the teachings were just great. They were so in-depth and I really learned a lot. And God has spoken to me in many areas. I'm a bit tired so I'll just post pics now! Actually, majority was taken last night. During theme night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY DAWN!

yea! today is her birthday ar!! hahas.
and yesterday was mine!

thing's started off well.
went for youth service with ruth and met with ting ting and her visitor, sisi.
Service was good! and Si SI converted (RP-ian).
I was so so happy and really thankful to God, cause I have not shared Christ in a long time.

Went for lunch and then home-ed. And i was down with food poisoning. And on my birthday. But I'm feeling so much better today!

Thank everyone for the wishes and my ang bao money is more than enough to let me go to ARETE!

thank you hope RP

today had my first RP care group.
and i wore northeast shirt. hahas.

so.. met up with most of the cg members at eunos station.
and den bussed to the place.
and the place is VERRRRY NICE and VERRRY COSY! hahas

so played some games. and i laughed until pengs because we kept doing stupid things etc etc.. and daphne laughs at the smallest things.

and the CG surprised me while they were affirming emily. i was so touched!!! THANKS ALOT HOPE RP! will post pics when NEHE sends them to me.

afterwards.. watched EVAN ALMIGHTY, shared what we learnt from the movie and den practiced dance. so fun!

took train with david, emily, kaien and luke and den i left and trained back to amk.
happened to meet NED2a girls and hung around with them and talked to them.

Special mentions to liehao who held his first deyi guys cg today. I'm so proud of him. Got home at 10 had dinner and blah blah blah.

didn't know what to put for the title.
i've been craving for donuts. munchy donuts! hahas.

had the best durian ice cream today. all thanks to ruth! hahas.
i'm really starting to love this care group alot.

no one will ever be PERFECT. only God is the perfect one.
we shouldn't expect anyone to be perfect, to live up to out standards as well.
cause well, everyone is different.
and i really love how God made each and every one different- in terms of looks, personality, character, favorites, etc...

it's because of this diversity that love between people will be stronger.
we can learn from each others strengths and weaknesses.
and we will then understand each other better.

as i was talking to luke, he told me this simple yet powerful line that really got me thinking on the long bus ride home- we were not called to just join the RP group, but we called by God to go there and bless them.

I really hope that i can bless this new group with the things i have learnt from youth.

MY first RP cg tomorrow! i'm so so so looking forward to it! and and and... TWO DAYS TO MY BIRTHDAY!

hope rp part II

went to RP to register this morning.
with my mom, deng and his mom.
and my dad drove us!
so han yeong deng, you owe me a big favour.

had bad hair day today and had to take the ezlink picture. ewwwww.
finished everything and went to meet shareen.
and den the hope rp people and we did survey and stuff.
but the people there are really fun. and shareen is really like a mom to us.

pauline stalked me from woodlands to amk. hahas.
lalalala.
and my mom forced me to go for the SAS camp.

im being random here.
my birthday is on SATURDAY!
and cause my family is celebrating for me, i can't go for tertiary service.
i'm going for youth service! alrights. shall end here to go and play guitar!

updates

alright. I'm back and finally in the mood to blog.
In case some of you are wondering, yes, i'm feeling much much better =D

so, grads chalet was da bomb.
First night with shops, tiffany and seepeng.
So we got quite high and watched Bring it On 2 and 3 plus America's Next Top Model!
I only fell asleep at 5am cause of the noise going on outside.

The next day I was the first one to wake up and the rest of the PIGS did not wake up until after 1. SOOOOOO... i entertained myself by watching KIDS CENTRAL! hahas. We kinda slacked during the afternoon all the way until 9 when we started the bbq. BBQ was great although the rain was just so irritating. Soon, pauline, rachfong and xiuwen came and we had a really crazy night. No one was spared of yuqian's madness!

Den me, yiteng, pauline and seepeng started sharing a lot of things and we interceded for each other when rachfong and xiuwen came back. After that, we went to the grass patch at D'Marquee and camwhored! Then.. walked to pasir ris park to see the sunrise!!! It was so nice!!!
We finally decided to go back and all of us were like walking zombies. Hahas. Bathed and packed my stuff den cabbed back with seepeng. Just a pic of the sunrise.

So I reached home at 9am and slept until 4pm. I was sick when I woke up and still insisted on going to meet deng, keith, yining and rachfong(again). I thought I was late, but keith and rach were even later! hahas. So had dinner at some place called Just Acia and dhoby exchange and it had free flows of ice cream and drinks! So cool right! hahad. Den headed to watch the movie Rule #1. Can't really comment on it cause I was hiding behind my jacket most of the time. BUt the most important thing of the day was being able to spend time with these people who never fail to make me smile and cheer me up and who I know will always lead me back to God when I lead astray.

Friday was kinda rushed. Went to commonwealth to get my laptop, then headed to woodlands to meet ruth and she brought me to the RP campus to meet half of the caregroup- stephen, jaslyn, michael, luke and kaien. Ate at the canteen then headed up to the library to slack. The library was closing so we went to this place (i really dunno the name of it) to discuss the arete drama thing.

Left at 7pm and then took a bus back to AMK. 1 hour bus ride.

Yesterday, I was super upset that I was not able to go service. Full Stop.
Oh wells, registering at RP tomorrow morning!

sick ar :(

my mom didn't allow me to go service today cause i was sick. fever and flu.

not really in the mood to blog but i do promise that i'll update you people on grads chalet soon!

HOPE RP

went for my last youth service yesterday.
went for my first tertiary service yesterday.

first things first,
I'm really gonna miss youth and the people there too.
Especially Northeast, it's where I grew up and everything.

But the thing about moving on to tertiary,
I'm able to start anew there and to leave all my past regrets behind and start afresh with God.

The Hope RP people are great! And very welcoming and lame and random- my kind of people. :)
At first, i didn't know how to talk to them so I just hung around outside nexus with seepeng. Sat with her, chantel and pauline.

But after service, our District- X2, had a mini welcome for us =D Bonded with my group after dinner and then they brought me to the arcade. Left for home with shareen and I enjoy talking to her. Looking forward to spending more time with my new group and getting to know them better.

Other things I'm looking forward to:
11-13 March: Grads Chalet
22 March- Easter service and MY birthday!
28 March- Deyi Musical
28-30 March- Arete!

LIFE CHANGES

4 days till i transfer over to tertiary.
4 days till i end my life in youth.
1 week till i can officially become a republican.
1 week till NED3 chalet XD

well, whatever happens, life goes on.
the best thing is, i've got Jesus with me =D
